Create

to cause to happen; bring about; arrange, as by intention or design

In this final phase of the process you will take what you have learned about yourself and your vision and begin to create a coherent body of work. You can do this by adding imagery to the work you have, start fresh with your new insights and create all new work, or turn your existing images and ideas into something tangible such as a book or an exhibition.

Now decide if you will begin to:

1) create a whole new body of work that reinterprets the insights you have uncovered or

2) make new images to add to your existing collection with the insights of the work you have done or

3) assemble your existing images into a compilation in the form of a book or wall exhibition

Creating a new body of work.

If you have decided to create a new body of work based on the discovery you have made about yourself and any imagery you have previously created, begin by writing down the subjects you have decided on, expand them into synonyms and symbolism, and photograph anything that expresses those words even if it seems abstract or ambiguous.

Making new images.

If you have decided to create new images based on the discovery you made about yourself and imagery you have previously created, begin by printing out the images you will keep from your past.

Place them in groupings that feel cohesive.

Next, determine where the gaps are in your communication, design, and subject matter. Take this information and begin to create images with the intention of creating images that will fit into the existing collection of images.

Assembling your images.

Once you have settled on the final images of your collection, begin putting them in order based on subject, composition, color, and any other factor that connects them.

Once they are in order determine if you will make prints and frame them or if they will be compiled into an album or book format. Depending on the subject matter and how you want to share the collection, you can decide if the book will be printed by a printer or by yourself and made into a handmade book.
